22. Komadussa
Guaw tniax .diyc .ee si anxnix. Hitt jun, Sewjunx druar dirr Sakya Jok ee Komadussa jitt xee soxjai. Hitt sii, Sewjunx tauwjaw cing snxax tec vxuah, zip kir Komadussa qiukid jiahsit.

Hitt sii, Komadussa ee brahmin qajuw, inx u dairjir dirr huerdngg jurjip, hormngx aw decc lyc. Hitt sii, Sewjunx laii qaur inx jibhue ee huerdngg. Komadussa ee brahmin qajuw knuar diyc Sewjunx an’ hng hng ee soxjai laii, dyrr qongw, “Hitt xee tuttauu sabunn si si’angw lehh? Inx hiaxee jnuaw m jaix jibhue ee quiqiw lehh?”

Hitt sii, Sewjunx iong jimgensix qra hiaxee Komadussa ee brahmin qajuw qongw:
“Byy senrzinn ee soxjai,
M si jibhue.
Uergiw byy junjiaur hxuad :ee,
Vingrr m si senrzinn.
Narr tangx bet tamiok,
Hunwno qapp gucix,
Uergiw tangx junjiaur hxuad :ee,
Jiacc tangx qiyr juer senrzinn.”

Jiaxee ue qongw liauw, hiaxee Komadussa ee brahmin qajuw iong jiaxee ue duiww Sewjunx qongw, “Junjiaw Gotama si jueww derr id uixdai! Gotama si jueww derr id uixdai! Gotama kyxviw hro dyw .lyc .ee vreh kiw, virr kamr :ee henxhen, jixsi dyrlo hro bebangg :ee, kyxviw u bagjiux :ee tangx qnir diyc mihqnia ee hxingg, kyxviw oamr diongx qongbingg ee dinghuew. Junjiaw Gotama qongw jiongxjiongw hxuad. Guanw beh quiix Sewjunx, Hxuad, qapp jingdoo, hibang dirr Sewjunx Gotama jitt xui cutqex siurqair. Guan junjiaw Gotama jiaplap guanw jiaxee qimzit ixau jiongsingx quiix juer iuvysad.”

22. Khomadussa
Thus have I heard. On one occasion the Blessed One was dwelling among the Sakyans where there was a town of the Sakyans named Khomadussa. Then the Blessed One dressed and, taking bowl and robe, entered Khomadussa for alms.

Now on that occasion the brahmin householders of Khomadussa had assembled in council on some business matter while rain fell continuously. Then the Blessed One approached the council. The brahmin householders of Khomadussa saw the Blessed One coming in the distance and said: “Who are these shaveling recluses, and who are those who will know the rule of the council?”

Then the Blessed One addressed the brahmin householders of Khomadussa in verse:
“That is no council where the good are absent;
They are not the good who don’t speak Dhamma.
But having abandoned lust, hate, and delusion,
Those speaking on Dhamma are truly the good.” 

When this was said, the brahmin householders of Khomadussa said to the Blessed One: “Magnificent, Master Gotama! Magnificent, Master Gotama! The Dhamma has been made clear in many ways by Master Gotama, as though he were turning upright what had been turned upside down, revealing what was hidden, showing the way to one who was lost, or holding up a lamp in the dark for those with eyesight to see forms. We go for refuge to Master Gotama, and to the Dhamma, and to the Bhikkhu Sangha. Let Master Gotama remember us as lay followers who from today have gone for refuge for life.”

〔二二〕庫摩都薩邑
如是我聞。爾時,世尊住釋迦族之庫摩都薩邑。
時,世尊清晨,著衣持鉢,入庫摩都薩乞食。
其時,庫摩都薩邑之婆羅門與家主等,因事而集聚於集會堂。雨綿綿下降。
時,世尊來到其集會堂。
庫摩都薩婆羅門與家主等,見世尊從遠而來。
見而言曰:「彼禿頭沙門等是誰耶?彼等何以不知集會法耶?」
時世尊以偈謂語庫摩都薩婆羅門家主等曰:
無善人之處   並非是集會
語不如法者   並非是善人
若以滅貪欲   瞋恚與愚癡
能語於如法   始稱為善人
如是言已,庫摩都薩婆羅門家主等,以此白世尊曰:「尊者瞿曇!是最勝者……乃至……願尊者瞿曇從今日以後,受我等終生歸依為優婆塞。」
