Hitt sii, okmoo Mara laii Sewjunx hiax vaiwhongw. Vaiwhue quer, iong jimgensix duiww Sewjunx qongw:
"Zid'ia iauxx dilehh,
Siurmia iauxx bue jin.
Kyxviw ciasimx decc sec linwdngw,
Langg ee siurmia iarr decc lunhuee."

[Sewjunx:]
"Zid'ia quewsir,
Siurmia iarr beh jin.
Kyxviw siyw kejuiw e dax,
Langg ee siurmia iarr e bet."

Hitt sii, okmoo Mara jin' koxnuaw, qongw, "Sewjunx ixqingx jaix si guaw, Sxen Quewongw ixqingx jaix si guaw." Dyrr iamxsinx an' hiax byy .kir.

10. Lifespan (2)
(Opening as in preceding sutta:) 

Then Mara the Evil One approached the Blessed One and addressed him in verse:
“The days and nights do not fly by,
Life does not come to a stop.
The life of mortals turns in circles
Like the chariot’s felly round the hub.”

“The days and nights go flying by,
Life is bound to come to a stop.
The life of mortals evaporates
Like the water in shallow streams.”

Then Mara the Evil One ... disappeared right there.

(十)壽命（其二）
〔爾時，世尊〕住王舍城……
時，世尊曰：「諸比丘！人類壽命短。不可不行未來，不可不為善，不可不行梵行，生者無不死。諸比丘！則長壽者，亦少多於百歲。」
時，惡魔波旬來，詣世尊前。詣已，以偈白世尊曰：
日夜猶未逝　　　壽命亦未盡
如輪軸迴轉　　　人命亦輪逝
〔世尊：〕
日夜之過逝　　　壽命亦將盡
如小河水竭　　　人壽命亦滅
時，惡魔波旬苦惱以：「世尊已知我！善逝已知我。」而萎身隱沒於其處。
