Be hro juixlauu laii qra dinxdang.
Tnisinn ee qniaw Damali,
Jex dyrr si soxu huanlyw bet jin.
Henzinn gauu hagsenn,
Ixx jex laii vixzu Brahmin,
Inx qaur qaxx snisiw ee jiongdiamw,
Laii kia dirr hitt hnua,
Be virr juixlauu lrauu .kir."

5. Damali
On one occasion the Blessed One was dwelling at Shravasti in Jeta’s Grove, Anathapindika’s Park. Then, when the night had advanced, Dåmali, son of the devas, of stunning beauty, illuminating the entire Jeta’s Grove, approached the Blessed One. Having approached, he paid homage to the Blessed One, stood to one side, and recited this verse in the presence of the Blessed One:

“This should be done by the brahmin:
Striving without weariness,
That by his abandoning of sensual desires
He does not yearn for becoming.”

“For the brahmin there is no task to be done,
(O Damali,” said the Blessed One),
“For the brahmin has done what should be done.
While he has not gained a footing in the river,
A man will strain with all his limbs;
But a footing gained, standing on the ground,
He need not strain, for he has gone beyond.
This is a simile for the brahmin, O Damali,
For the taintless one, the discerning meditator.
Having reached the end of birth and death,
He need not strain, for he has gone beyond.”

〔五〕陀摩利
〔爾時，世尊〕在舍衛城……
時，陀摩利天子於黎明，其勝光徧照祇園，往詣世尊處。詣已，禮敬世尊，立於一面。立於一面之陀摩利天子，於世尊前，唱此偈曰：
精進勿倦怠　　　以捨離愛欲
依此不欲有　　　婆羅門所行
（世尊曰：陀摩利！）
此婆羅門者　　　　　無有之所行
婆羅門應作　　　　　一切終已辦
人不得足基　　　　　四肢雖勤動
亦為流所衝　　　　　得立土足基
彼到於彼岸　　　　　不為流所動
天子陀摩利　　　　　此乃諸漏盡
賢善於禪思　　　　　以喻婆羅門
彼達生老終　　　　　以立於彼岸
不為所流逝

4. Magadha
Tnisinn ee qniaw Magadha dirr vnix:a kia ee sii, hiongr Sewjunx cniur jimgensix, qongxx:

"Sewqanx u zuarr je jiongw qngx,
Decc venww jyr jitt sewqanx?
Guanw jiaxee mng Sewjunx,
Rair anwjnuaw laii jaix dai?"

[Sewjunx]
"Sewqanx u sir jiongw qngx,
Jiax byy derr go jiongw qngx.
Zit .sii taiwiongg qonghuix,
Amwsii guehqngx jiyr.
Huew dirr zid'ia,
Jit siwqer venww jiyr.
Jniawqag si siongrdingw huew,
Jitt hxang si busiong ee qngx."

4. Magadha
Standing to one side, Mågadha, the son of the devas, addressed the Blessed One in verse:

“How many sources of light are in the world
By means of which the world is illumined?
We’ve come to ask the Blessed One this:
How are we to understand it?”
 
“There are four sources of light in the world;
A fifth one is not found here.
The sun shines by day,
The moon glows at night,
And fire flares up here and there
Both by day and at night.
But the Buddha is the best of things that shine:
This is the radiance unsurpassed.”

〔四〕摩揭陀
立於一面之摩揭陀天子，向世尊唱偈曰：
世有幾多光　　　徧照此世間
我等問世尊　　　如何得知此
〔世尊：〕
世有四種光　　　此無第五光
晝乃太陽輝　　　夜乃月光照
時火於日夜　　　彼此相徧照
正覺最勝火　　　此為無上光

"Taii sniaw kunr ansui?
Taii sniaw be visiongx?
Sathai sniaw mihqnia,
Gotama e ylyw?"

"Taii hunwlo kunr ansui.
Taii hunwlo be visiongx. 
Vatrabhu qra qinx u dok,
Bit dirr dingxquann ee hunwlo sathai,
Singwhenn ylyw qra hunwlo taii driau,
Taii liauw be visiongx."

3. Magha

“Having slain what does one sleep soundly?
Having slain what does one not sorrow?
What is the one thing, O Gotama,
Whose killing you approve?”

“Having slain anger, one sleeps soundly;
Having slain anger, one does not sorrow;
The killing of anger, O Vatrabhu,
With its poisoned root and honey-sweet tip:
This is the killing the noble ones praise,
For having slain that, one does not sorrow.”

時，摩佉天子於黎明往詣世尊處。其勝光徧祇園，詣已，禮敬世尊，立於一面。立於一面之摩佉天子，向世尊唱偈曰：
殺何樂寢臥　　　殺何而不悲
殺害何一法　　　瞿曇卿稱讚
〔世尊：〕
殺忿樂寢臥　　　殺忿而不悲
諸天以毒根　　　忿為最上蜜
聖讚此忿殺　　　殺之不悲傷

"Bikiu narr u hagsenn,
Simx tangx did qaixtuad.
Jaix sewqanx ee hingx qapp hruir,
Simx sxen byy jipdiok.
Narr dna' qiubang simx dadqaur(qingxqair),
Byy huatdo did diyc singqyw."

2. Kassapa (2) 
On one occasion the Blessed One was dwelling at Shravasti in Jeta’s Grove, Anathapindika’s Park. Standing to one side, Kassapa, son of the devas, recited this verse in the presence of the Blessed One:

“A bhikkhu should be a meditator,
One who is liberated in mind,
If he desires the heart’s attainment,
Bent on that as his advantage.
Having known the world’s rise and fall,
Let him be lofty in mind and unattached.”

爾時，世尊住舍衛城……
立於一面之迦葉天子，於世尊前，唱此偈曰：
比丘若禪思　　　以得心解脫
知世之興廢　　　心善不執著
若望心得達　　　不能得其果
